"say"ing it //sēˈzyo͝orə
Latin for "cutting," Caesura is a pause or break in poetry or music. Caesura is literally the space where one phase ends and another begins. It may simply be a comma, an inhalation. It may be a complete silence of the music for many measures. In the space between the Caesura community is there to help each woman move through the pauses in their sexuality with grace and ease.
We provide a space were women support other women who are at an interruption point in their sexuality due to a physical change, be it from childbirth, hysterectomy, menopause or other. Caesura supports women in healing themselves and restoring their body, mind and relationships such that they have greater sexual bliss than they ever thought possible.
Why Caesura?
Marietta Allison founded Caesura Community in response to her physical breakdown after hysterectomy, menopause and other surgeries. Deeply loved and in love with her husband Forrest, she still found herself wondering how she was going to get through the rest of her married life now that she had zero sex drive. Her doctors seemed embarrassed by her requests for help and other the women she spoke with about it were in the same boat. BIG-hearted, courageous and tenacious, she determined this would NOT be her new normal" and she set out to "come back better!"
It was a hunt for knowledge that took her down many a rabbit trail to get to her healing. Along the way she found that herself talking her journey with joy and unabashed candor to other woman who needed support getting through the interruption spaces too. And so -- Caesura Community!
Our outlook is that blissful, connected sex is a vital part of living an integrated life where our body, spirit and mind are all healthy worthy of attention. A woman who connected with her sexual power shows up differently in every area of her life and makes the world a better place!
"We are all whole and powerful, and together we guide each other into a fuller realization of that glorious fact!"
